People come to me when they are feeling stuck, trapped, or boxed in and want someone warm and non-judgmental who will help them take their life back. Sometimes it's just a matter of getting some perspective, learning a few skills, or understanding our selves a little better so that we are no longer dominated by our fears, insecurities, or unfortunate life circumstances. My mission is to help clients get back to living a life that is meaningful and guided by what they truly value.
I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders, including stress management, generalized anxiety, panic disorders, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also integrate a lot of mindfulness training and experiential learning from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), all of which is strongly supported by science and research.
I also specialize in exposure and response prevention, which is the treatment of choice for many high-level anxiety disorders. Struggling with anxiety can be terrifying and exhausting, and I want clients to know that they don't have to deal with these issues alone.
